The Vitocal 250-A Pro has a supply temperature of up to 70 C, a heating capacity of up to 39.5 kW and a cooling capacity of up to 21.7 kW and, according to the German manufacturer, is one of the quietest of its kind on the market. the market. The coefficient of performance is 5.6.

Germany-based heating specialist Viessmann has started industrial production of the large heat pump Vitocal 250-A Pro at its location in Berlin.

With supply temperatures up to 70 C, the heat pump is designed for homes, light commercial buildings and municipal buildings. The system generates a maximum of 39.5 kW of heating power and has a cooling capacity of 21.7 kW. It measures 1,900 x 940 x 1,570 mm and weighs 550 kg.

The new product has a coefficient of performance (COP) of 5.6.

According to Viessmann, the Vitocal 250-A Pro is also one of the quietest of its kind, with 60.9 dB(A) in low-noise operation. The company says this means the outdoor units can also be easily installed in dense built-up areas or close to a property boundary.

The Vitocal 250-A Pro indoor unit, meanwhile, offers three mixed heating/cooling circuits and a seasonal buffer. Hot water preparation can take place with a cylinder loading system or with a cylinder loading pump. Viessmann says that instead of a hot water boiler, the Vitotrans 353 fresh water station can also be used, which generates hot water according to the instant hot water principle. If necessary, an additional heat generator can be integrated to absorb peak loads.

“With the Vitocal 250-A Pro air/water heat pump we can meet the individual project requirements of larger residential and commercial buildings,” says Dr. Markus Plewa, Product Line Owner Commercial Heat Pumps at Viessmann Climate Solutions. “The compact monobloc heat pump is a real ‘all-rounder’, because it heats, cools and produces hot water.”

Earlier this year, Viessmann unveiled the Vitocal 2o0-A Pro in three versions with heating capacities of 32 kW, 64 kW and 128 kW, as well as cooling capacities of 34 kW, 69 kW and 139 kW.
