APsystems releases comprehensive connectors for DS3 microinverters

APsystems has announced a new enhancement to its DS3 microinverter line: extended connector whips, designed to give installers more flexibility and reduce stress during module connections.

A common installation challenge occurs when the module cables do not quite reach the microinverter connectors with sufficient clearance. When wiring is over-tightened, connectors can become stressed or damaged during installation.

The updated DS3 design solves this problem by integrating longer built-in whips, providing additional reach and flexibility when connecting module cables. This extra clearance makes the installation process smoother, reduces the risk of overloading connectors and ensures long-term reliability in the field.

While extremely short module wires or greater distance than normal between panels still require a separate DC extension cable, the new whip length significantly reduces the need for additional components in everyday installations.
