China’s Nea Said that new solar energy installations fell sharply in June, despite strong growth of the first half. From January to June 2025, the country added 212.21 GW to new solar capacity, but installations only 14.36 GW in June, a decrease of 85% compared to May and 38.45% lower than the same period a year earlier. By the end of June 2025, the total installed electricity generation of China had reached 3.65 Two, an increase of 18.7% year after year. Solar was good for 1.1 Tot of the total, which is an increase of 54.2% compared to June 2024, while the wind energy capacity rose to 570 GW, an increase of 22.7%.

NEA Also reported that 502 TWH of electricity was traded through the Chinese National Energy Market in June, an increase of 2.2% compared to a year earlier. Of that total, 384.7 TWH came from intra-provincial transactions, a decrease of 0.22%, while 117.4 TWH crossed cross-provincial and regional transactions, an increase of 11.1%. Green electricity transactions amounted to 23.9 TWH in June, which marked an increase of 15.6% on an annual basis. From January to June, the cumulative electricity volume that was traded on the market achieved 2.95 PWH, an increase of 4.8% year on year and good for 60.9% of the total national power consumption – an increase of 0.52 percentage points. Cross-provincial and regional trade during the period increased by 18.2% to 670.7 TWH, while intra-provincial volumes remained stable. Green Power Trading for the first half of the year reached 154 TWH, an increase of 49.3% compared to a year earlier.

N-type Recycled polysilicon traded between CNY 45,000 ($ 6,290) and CNY 49,000 per ton, on average CNY 46,800, an increase of 12.23% compared to the last week. N-type grainy silicon on average CNY 44,000, an increase of 7.32%, while the material of the dense quality climbed 13.47% to CNY 43,800. Silicon waffle prices also rose. N-type G10L Monocrystalline waffles (182 mm x 183.75 mm/130 μm) average CNY 1.10 per unit, an increase of 4.76%. G12R waffles (182 mm x 210 mm/130 μm) Rin 8.70% to CNY 1.25, while G12 waffles (210 × 210 mm/130 μm) increased by 6.67% to CNY 1.44. Despite the price wines, the use of the waffle factory remained stable. Two leading producers operated with a capacity of 50% and 40%, while vertically integrated and other manufacturers were 50% to 80%. Structural prices for solar cells and modules stood up. Pet prices varied from CNY 0.26/W to CNY 0.27/W, rising CNY 0.02/W. Module prices rose with CNY 0.01/W to between CNY 0.66/W and CNY 0.67/W.

GCL -System Integration (GCL SI) said it has concluded a delivery contract for a 766.6 MW module purchasing offer from the Sichuan location of the Huadian group. The contract includes various solar power plants in the Lianghans prefecture, the province of Sichuan, such as the 180 MW Baiwu Phase II project, the 120 MW Houlongshan project and the 150 MW DAHE project.
