Enva reveals certified battery -safe box to combat lithium battery fire risks – PV Magazine International

New fire-resistant container is intended to improve the safe transport of lithium ion batteries in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Recycling and resource recovery solutions supplier Enva has launched Battery Safe Box, a specially designed solution for the safe storage and transport of lithium battery waste, including defective units.

Innovation comes when fires in connection with Lithium-Ionbatteries in 2024 in the United Kingdom alone, according to QBE insurance group alone, amounted to the safety and compliance needs in the clean-tech sector.

The battery -safe box capable of maintaining a maximum of 400 kg and 20 kWh of lithium batteries, is certified under the P911 gasket instruction and has a rigorous tests of the vehicle certification agency (VCA), inclusive fire brigade and drop impact tests.
