Germany Battery Storage Grid connections requests from more than 500 GW-PV Magazine International

The German grid connection requests for battery storage are more than 500 GW, a figure powered by a “first, first served” approval system instead of viable projects, according to Regelleistung-Online.

When PV -Magazine In February, Germany’s electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) and three of its distribution system operators (DSOs) – more than more than more than more than more than more than 340 GW schedule connection requests from large -scale BessThere was a ‘battery tsunami’.

The Regelleistung (Control Power) -Online platform now estimates the total number on 470.5 GW over the four TSOs and only three from the 800 DSOs of the Land -edi’s, Westnetz and Mitnetz. This means that the total number on this point is much more than 500 GW.
